Our bones are made up of 2 parts calcium plus 1 part magnesium. If you don’t have the magnesium to combine with the calcium, your calcium is not able to build bone. Most people are magnesium deficient and hence, most people get osteoporosis. Also, people with decent kidneys cannot get a toxic amount of magnesium, if you receive more than your body can handle, it goes to your colon and hydrates it; i.e. you will get the runs. If you get too much calcium, you will get calcium deposits. These deposits can manifest as kidney stones, arthritis in the joints, bone spurs and even cataracts.

Now once you have enough calcium and magnesium, you body doesn’t know where to put it and vitamin D3 helps point the way. So all three are equally essential.

The name has changed from “Natural Calm” to “Magnesium Supreme”. The reason is that with the new EU regulations we are not allowed to call it “Natural Calm” because “Natural Calm” is considered to be a claim.

We also changed the label further to make it EU and UK compliant and it is now registered with the Irish Health Board. It is the same product and formula as Natural Calm, just with an EU compliant label. Even though there is a lot of research to support that magnesium helps calm people, reduce anxiety, and relax them, we are not allowed to make those claims.

The dose also officially changed to meet EU regulations. The dosage before was 150% of USA RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance). The new dosage is 108% of EU RDA. Magnesium Supreme has its dose listed in grams whereas Natural Calm is listed as teaspoons. The dosage we recommend to people is to “start with a teaspoon and slowly increase your dose until your stools are comfortably loose, then you are at the optimal level”.
